Is there a picture of Merrix d'Cannith in any of the books? I searched through the galleries, but couldn't find any! :weep:

I like to pretend that the map is actually about the size of a chess-board and he's really very small! :D

Also I note they didn't bother to fill in the great grey waste of Cyre despite including the blade desert.

Obviously it is a Pre-War map.

Obviously it is a Pre-War map.

Obviously not, since the three factions of House Cannith didn't arise until the Cannith Patriarch died in Cyre on the Day of Mourning. There would be no reason for Merrix to color-code the map like that if House Cannith were still unified.

The map is on the floor, the map is prewar.

The 'faction' pieces are just that, pieces, like on a chess board. To be moved, to reflect his and other's current holdings in this political battle.

Erm.... The Kingdom of Darguun (clearly shown on the map) was formed in 969YK...

Given that I think we can summise:
1. The map is 'post-war' or at least post 969 YK. Or..
2. The map is 'pre-war and was amended after the war to reflect the new countries (I bet marble-working cartographers everywhere were busy at that time!). Or...
3. It's just a picture and not worth worrying too much about :D

I personally think that Merrix would have a striking resemblance to Christopher Walken!

Just because they didn't officially split untill after the Mourning, doesn't mean they weren't working against each other prior to the Patriarch's death.

Heck, for all we know, Merrix knew about the Mourning and the Patriarch's death beforehand and this picture is him planning out what will happen.

Postwar....

"Mournland" doesn't indicate a pre-war picture...

Cyre would've.

Bloody 'ell can you imagine the length of the set up phase!! :D
Actually maybe WoTC could commission a special version of Risk set in the Last War...

Risk: Eberron Edition?

Hell, yea!

And I'm normally not for all those "merchandise"-thingies...

I just like RISK... and Eberron... and I'd like to see small warforged figures, warforged titans and the likes for the game...

Though one based on Axis and Allies might make for a more complex game.
