| Lord_Dorak06-04-07, 01:33 PM | After reading Five Nations, I'm left wondering how Breland handles a standing army, if there is even one in existence. I suspect that the standing army is more or less like a feudal army, where King Baronel has to ask the nobles to provide their personal troops for national defense in case of an emergency/war. Is there any info on a standing army for Breland? Also, is there info on the Parliament & Royal Court? How do you pronounce Wroat? like "wrote"? Thanks! :) |

The Sharn books talks about the 'Redcloak Battalion' and the 'Royal Guards' and portrays them as permenant units. I think there a few more mentions to active troops in the Sharn Inquistives. There is less about the Parliement and Royal Court. Parliement has at least two distinct types of representitives: those noble families that are granted a seat by being one of the 27 noble familes in Breland and second are officials elected from the various counties in Breland. My group pronounces Wroat as "Wrote'. |
