He glared at her coldly, his knife flickering dimly in the dark alleyway. The skittering got louder and suddenly one of them fell, he groaned as he collapsed to the ground. His compatriot turned, knife at the ready, and only saw a quick flash of movement. The next thing he knew he was getting pounded in the side, a hard blow to the kidneys tossed him into the air and then onto the garbage cans, he heard a cold hiss and saw glowing red eyes, he begged and pleaded as he clumsily stood, running for his life. The woman saw these eyes turn to her, "Run child, run." She ran, hearing an odd sort of sound coming from the alley, she ran a bit faster now, hoping to run into a watchman. **** The woman sighed in frustration, the watch wouldn't believe her story. They claimed that there was no way she saw what she did, then again, she did have to admit that maybe if she didn't mention that last sound, something like a small dog giggling, maybe they would have taken it more seriously Nightclaw is a dragonwrought Kobold monk. He considers the city to be his warren and doesn't take kindly to those that cause murder and mayhem in it. He is a fairly kind individual but usually only intervenes when he sees a person in honest danger, crimes against property don't interest him and he in fact likes graffiti as he feels it livens up the dull sharn buildings. He has some training in the sublime way and is also somewhat well equipped. He came to Sharn after adventurers wiped out his warrens, hoping to find a way to train himself and seek revenge. He found a teacher, but he was sworn to instead serve as a guardian to make sure that the strong never preyed on the weak again to gain these teachings, and so Nightclaw contents himself watching over the various peoples of Sharn, but also waits for the adventurers to one day come and, he hopes, cause enough trouble for him to intervene. |
