| Amaril07-17-07, 02:55 PM | As I understand it, it's similar to the rings of Saturn, which are in outer space. I could be mistaken though. |
| Demangel07-18-07, 09:11 PM | I agree, I consider them to be in outer space (IE orbiting in space like saturns rings, which is supported by what I understand to be the origin of the things in the first place). All in all I always go to lengths to describe the sky of Eberron whenever I get the chance. Eberron has both the busiest, but also dramatic night time sky of all the official setting for D&D. A shame really that the ECS never put in a good image of what it should look like. I have my own rendering I use/created (handpainted in photoshop) for a NWN project if you want to see an example of sorts go here: http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/Image.php?id=79793 Note that from the ground, the rings don't (nor would they) look like rings, but more like a REALLY bright Milky way band of brightness splitting the sky. (something that IS shown in official artwork). |
