Which peoples from the 12 nations migrated to where in Khorvaire? Any guesses? Not much is said in SoS

Everyone from Sarlona that migrated to Khorvaire migrated to the Lhazaar Principalities where they stayed for awhile since the Dhakaani controlled the mainland. From there it's anyone's guess.

Out of curiosity why do you ask? What does it matter?

EDIT: That's what I thought having read the ECS and SoS. It seemed like only one or two mass exodus' occured but now this is interesting... Keith has expanded on human migration from Sarlona.

Looks like Keith himself may eventually be answering this question.

Not entirely true. Some humans migrated eastward to the west coast of Khorvaire, specifically the Shadow Marches, which is where the Mark of Finding manifested.

I want to incorporate a aspect of Sarlona in a campaign i am coming up on. I was curious what others thought before i just plugged them in

As per the thread Shady quotes:

By KEITH'S history (at this point, I honestly can't remember if it's appeared in canon sources or just in my notes), most of the people of the Five Nations would trace their ancestry to Nulakhesh, Rhiavhaar, or Pyrine (Pyrine being, among other things, the primary source of the modern Sovereign Host). However, there have been other smaller migrations over the centuries. The non-Throneholder peoples of Valenar and Q'barra are the result of small-scale migrations from the Syrkarn region (I believe my notes for the Savage Tide posited a fallen kingdom with Lamechan ancestry). The people of the Shadow Marches were largely from Corvagura. The ogres and ogre mages of Droaam may have ancestral ties to Borunan. And the Carrion Tribes of the Demon Wastes once ties to Ohr Kaluun - perhaps one reason they were so quick to embrace the worship of the dark powers of their new home.

I can see this expanded to the present day--after all, some external support would likely be critical to the Heirs of Ohr Kaluun continuing their struggle against the Inspired...

And of course, a DM could always put a "lost isle" between Khovaire and Sarlona that was settled by one of the initial waves, and then forgotten about. Maybe a bad storm pushed the ship off course to land on the island, and they became exclusionary like the Japanese. Not Khovarian, not Sarlonan, but something in between. A cultural missing link, as it were.
