I'm confused. =)

When we run the DMs Mark I'm assuming we write the encounters and then follow the general guide/objective of the mark. Once this is said and done the maximum value of 1,600gp (if that much is used) is divided by the PCs and marked on their Adventure Journal, right?

So... the Event Treasure of 300 EV... is this added to that amount?
Does that mean that they now have 1,600/4 = 400 + 300 gp each. Totalling 700 GP??? That's above the 450 GP limit!

So... How does this work?

and what about xp? How much is too much? How much is best suited to hand out? How is this tracked? The DMs Mark Tracking Sheet doesn't mention xp obtained, or gp obtained.

You don't figure it. You report it on the website when you report your tables. There will be a button to click on to answer the adventure questions, and a place to enter story objects. XP and gold will be automatically calculated once you submit the sessions. Everyone then checks their character on the online character tracker to see what they have.

At least, when the system is working it goes like that. Still waiting on the Origins fiasco to get fixed, with both Xen'drik and Mark of Heroes. :P

Story Objects? As in the Marks plot device suggestion, or our own additions. =)

So... if its automatically calculated, how do we know what to put in the actual event?

And what's the scoop with the Event Treasure?

------

This is a whole new RPGA for me... I'm from the old school with certs and the like. ( I think I liked that better, LOL)

So... sorry if i seem like i have no clue, 'cause... I don't believe I do. =)

The MoH DM's marks files give guidelines as to how many encounters to include (which decrease by levels, since they get longer as levels get higher) and how much treasure to hand out.
they also include 2 story objects which you can give out, you can't hjust make up your own objects, but you aren't required to give out those either if they don't fit your adventure ifdea.
The adventure questions you have to answer are very generic (did they reach the objective(s), did they defeat the encounters, did they find the treasure) adn you can answer with a slight degreee of how much they accomplished out of what you wrote in

The tracker then takes thatb and assumes you gave a normal number/difficulty of encounters and treasure for their level, and give the players xp/gp based on those averages
