Greetings Mercs:

I'm trying to figure out my starting gold amount for my first level character Breach. It's a warforged scout rouge/artificier with 6 ranks of crafting, and the bonus "create scroll" feat.

The base starting gold is 200gp for Rouge and Artificier. I assume 200 is the base.

According to the Xendrink Campaign Doc, Crafting/Profession skills net the character 10xranks in Crafting and Prof., all ranks stackable. It appears that there is a level factor that should be included as well.

Finally, since I am an artificier, I am entitled to spend 100gp on 0 or 1st level scrolls. Does this come from some kind of Artificier slush fund or must I dip into my own pockets for these rags?

Thanks in advance for answering.

only one of those classes starting gold amounts will matter, the one in which you take your first level, so yes Artificer give you 200 regular base starting gold

nope, no level factor added in, aside form the fact that more levels can equal more ranks (unless by level factor you mean the blackwheel extra, see summary)

read the paragraph before that under artificer, and you'll see that the 100 gold for 0&1st level scrolls is from your craft reserve, which becomes 5 gold per XP this is effectivly extra gfold you can ONLY spend on those scrolls that you could scribe with your scribe scroll

So in summary for your artificer at 1st level, if you put 6 ranks into craft and profession skills:
200 for class
+60 for skills
+50 for 1st level in blackwheel
---
310 gold to spend on anything

You ALSO get 100 you can only spend on scrolls (you can scribe) this may be combined with the abovefor more scrolls (a 1st level scroll you sribe costs you 75 gold, you can spend this 100 plus 50 of your other 310 and get 2 scrolls)

Thank you jeffpicard, that's exactly the response I was looking for. What confused me was the "EV" term. I couldn't tell if it was applied to starting gold or after the campaign had commenced.
