Hi. In the MoH campaign, i was dissapointed to find that there were no player or judge guidelines for what you could get by calling in a favor from your dragonmarked house. Still, there weren't too many dragonmarked going around, so it wasn't a huge issue. However, i'm sure there will be plenty of PCs with the Favored in House feat. If there is no entry for what can be done with a favor in the Campaign Standard, then could there be module-specfic guidelines for what people can get in BWC mods? (Or at least a boilerplate of what a favor should and shouldn't do, beyond what's given in the ECS). Thanks!

Along a similar vein, are the campaign organizers going to provide guidelines on what a Master Inquisitive's contacts can offer? That prestige class is already lukewarm without having one of its class features rendered ineffective.

Since getting to 6th level so that you can take Master Inquisitive (or most any PrC) is going to take a while, the RPGA has a bit of time to sort out issues like that.

But it is a good question!

Well, given that Mark of Heroes characters are currently level-jumped to 7th, I'd say they'd better work on a coherent answer for all their Eberron RPGA campaigns. :)

Master Inquisitive is core, so I'm not even sure that it has to be unlocked. And the requirements would allow a PC to take it at 4th level.

I was planning on taking the "Favoured of House" feat for my BWC character. I am hoping that the feat is more than just decorative :)

I know this is an older thread, but my MoH character should have 2 contacts in our campaign, but the DM is still lacking in that department. Any update on this?

We're currently working on this now. The internal decision should come within the next several weeks. I'm a proponent of the idea of a preset (small) list of options with each adventure of what FiH will gain for you. Right now I'm looking at two major possibilities: Items and Adventure Secrets. Those of you with Stormrider's Chapbook and our very cool new "Uber-Map" card may have learned that each adventure now has "secrets" built into it that are not necessary for mission completion, but can be a huge boon to the party. I'm in favor of some Dragonmarked House intervention on this behalf.

What this will probably involve is a d6 or d8 roll that selects between items and adventure secrets, tailored to the specific level and nature of each adventure. Level 1 characters wouldn't get +2 flaming burst greatswords, and level 5 characters won't get potions of cure light wounds. They will be appropriate based on your level. If the favored in house check is of a sufficient level, you can have access to these things--rolls that surpass a certain level will mean you get better things, or more of a "choice" from which you want.

Again, we should have this solidified in the next several weeks.

That sounds like an absolutely ideal system. Kudos!
