A young lady I know wants to play a drow, but doesn't have the Child of Vulkoor card. Playing the drow sorceror fastplay and advancing her would seem like a solution, at least for the Cabal. How would this be recorded online and in the adventure journal?

I think you can choose Creation Card: Fast Play or Wizard Fast Play Character. Under Race: "From Creation Card" and Class: "From Creation Card". You can also choose to keep the Character Unlock (for having the miniature) as your 1st level expansion slot.

Cool. It's been so long ago that I registered my characters that I don't remember "fastplay" as being an option under creation cards.

Also, when I looked at the fastplay, it said a level adjustment of +2, like a standard drow. Does that mean that only Child of Vulkoor has a level adj of +1?

That very well might be the balancing factor to not having to use the card, yes.

And one day later we get our answer... the fourth level version of the Drow Sorceror only has a +1 adjustment, like Child of Vulkoor.

You are welcome.

It was one heck of an internal debate. Left hemisphere vs. right hemisphere. Ultimately, I decided that the pathetic and downtrodden Cabal of Shadows needed all the help it could get. :angelhide

Actually, as a philosophy, in a Xen'drik Campaign, I fully believe drow should only have a LA +1, and so the fastplay makes it so. You still don't get everything the card gives you... AND you have the added sacrifice of having to play for the bad guys, but hey, it's a start.

She's still not what I'd call anything close to a "good" character, but she will let ya play a drow without the card.
