Any good metamagic PrCs? [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-01-06, 10:52 AM Hey all. My group is starting Cabal on Monday, and I'm playing a CN Human Sorcerer with the Metamagic Specialization feature from PHB2. I'm looking at going Wild Mage, but I also want to really take advantage of spontaneous metamagic, so I'm curious if anyone knows of any presteige classes that really amplify or give new and unusual applications for metamagic. I've already looked through Complete Arcane and the DMG and didn't find anything like this, but I'm up for any ideas. I'd like to get this resolved ASAP, since a Sorcerer pretty much has to start fulfilling his skill point requirements at first level, and I'd rather not start a new guy once I get going. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

09-06-06, 11:02 AM Thanks for the suggestion. I'm pretty set on doing a human, so recaster is out. I'm thinking i'll just stick with Wild Mage and focus my feat selection on any interesting metamagic I can find (Split Ray just came to mind).

Another option is Spellscale. By meditating on different draconic deities, they can gain the use of metamagic feats for the day. (+2 CHA -2 CON). From races of the dragon.

Isn't spellscale restricted to Crimson Codex? Unfortunantly, I'm pretty much locked into the Cabal with my sorcerer, so I'm limited to their unlockables. But thanks for the help!
