The Special requirement for the assassin states; "The character must kill someone for no other reason then to join the assassins."

Does this mean I can just kill any innocent bystander? Planning on going assassin, so I'm just wondering how to get the campaign documentation for this...

"The following prestige classes are unlocked for Cabal of Shadows characters: assassin and blackguard. Members of the Cabal of Shadows may take these classes without meeting normally required role-playing requirements."

Aww, no massacres of innocent bystanders? You take all the fun out of things, Britt.

Oh, kill all the innocents you want, I just don't make you have someone sign your sheet when you do.

As per the rules text posted by Britt, every member of the CoS is assumed to have killed at least one innocent bystander and had friendly contact with an evil outsider. Those are just run of the mill things in CoS, like reading a book in CC or praying in CoL or getting paid in BWC. If your character actually -hasn't- killed an innocent bystander, -that- should be documented on your adventure journal.

Oh yeah, I kill innocents all the time. The more innocent the better! (I also plan on going assassin - drow fighter/beguilder/assassin). The best thing I've found so far is to do what the people want you to do and then kill them and take anything they didn't already give you.

On a related note, what's up with Mere? You get fewer xp/gp if you are evil, effectively, and the rewards are less the less good you are. I think xp/gp and rewards in the few adventures that allow any faction member to play should be just as high no matter what alignment you play. Save the goody-catering for CoL mods.

Well it was written by the factionmaster of all the goodie-goodies.

It seems to be rather CoL-biased throughout the mod. Makes me wonder if there will be other-faction-biased expeditions going forward? Well of Woe didn't seem biased from anything I saw.

Well it was written by the factionmaster of all the goodie-goodies.

Of course, the factionmaster of the Cabal wrote a module for the goodie-goodies. So far, I think the CoL modules have been the toughest.

I think you are confused, or have a typo, there Ed. The FM for the Covenant of Light wrote the mod (and runs the Jedi faction, er,... goodie-goodie faction). Not the FM for the Cabal. I, Chris Lindsey, and Shawn Merwin (mostly Shawn), worked on Well of Woe.

Speaking of which, I know the expeditions are more in the lines of one round mods now, but I really liked the 3 round Well of Woe - it had a really epic feel to it!

I don't think they should all be like that, but a 3 round expedition every few would be awesome.

Well, my bad. Should have read the entry for Cabal of Shadows more carefully.

By the way, does anyone know where I can find evil feats that CoS members can use?

Our judge told us that you had writen the second CoL module. I guess he was mistaken.
