I'm now a werewolf warlock that poses as a priest of the Silver Flame. ummm, what happens now, what are the rules for this. How much is it going to cost to cure this affliction. How long do I have, when do I become an npc? |

How long do I have, when do I become an npc? From the Rules Draft: Lycanthropy During your many adventures in XEN’DRIK EXPEDITIONS, it is possible that your PC may contract the curse of lycanthropy. None of the Factions are willing to draw the attention of having a were-creature in their ranks, and thus no PC is allowed to play a lycanthrope. Therefore, should your PC contract lycanthropy and still possess the disease at the end of a session, your Faction will make a spellcaster available to you. You must pay for this caster’s services (normal Player’s Handbook prices). The spells cast and any saving throws that must be made following the core rules for lycanthropy. Any gold piece debt should be deducted for your EV and recorded by the DM. |

| Mherduwynn10-30-06, 09:31 AM | There is nothing at all weird going on. It works like this. Even if you had the cash personally or a scroll needed to cure yourself, your faction is going to want both accountability and an assurance that your condition is cured. Thus, you have to use their spellcaster(s) and pay for it out of funds they can track. Thus, the cure is deducted from your EV. In game terms, the affliction is a BAD THING. When bad things happen to good (or bad, in the case of the Cabal) people, those people end up paying for it. In even more basic game terms, PCs do not get to be lycanthropes and should, for the sake of their faction reputations and Equipment value, avoid said affliction like bthe plague it is in Eberron. :) -August P.S. Ewww, I posted on the Cabal forums. I need a holy water shower now... |
| Butterface10-30-06, 11:53 AM | Yeah, you really don't want to be afflicted with lycanthropy in Eberron. Two words: TWELVE MOONS. There's almost always a full moon, forcing you to go through the painful transformation a multitude of times throughout the month. I can understand why none of the factions wants to risk having a lycanthrope in their groups, even the Cabal. The Silver Flame fought a war 160 years ago to nearly extinguish lycanthropy - I'm sure they wouldn't knowingly let some werewolves run around Stormreach. Ooh . . . that's a good DM's Mark idea for Covenant of Light. :D Lycanthropic Purge! |
