| Randall Montgomery06-21-07, 01:25 PM | Spoiler warning!!! ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... ........... At the end of the module, my group had pieced together the details around the "Dream Beast", and earned the story object that mentions our dreams aren't always our own, and that we're feeling watched. However, my character is a Kalashtar, who dosen't dream and is immune to all effects that rely on dreaming. How will this affect interactions with this creature in the future, as well as the story object? BTW, great job with the module. I was quite happy with the many different possible outcomes, although I was a little disappointed that it appears things would have been resolved regardless of what we had done. I'm still disgusted with my groups "solution" though, and you can be sure I will be lodging a complaint with the Lady regarding their actions (it's rough when you're LG in a group with one CG and the rest neutral)! I have a bad feeling it will be coming back to bite us in the butt big time. |
| Mherduwynn06-22-07, 01:38 AM | Kalashtar are immune to dreams and dreaming effects but they are not exempt from the story object in question. For you wiggly little beings of light, the "Dream Beast" had other methods for watching you... As for the effects that imply they happen in your dreams, those you can disregard... ...for now. <evil grin> -A |

I'd personally say the story object was more benificial than a penalty, so I'm kinda glad that I don't have to remove it (not to mention the RP possibilities it'll provide). As for the beast, bring him on. A true servent of the light need not fear nightmares. :D |
| Garden_State_Gamer07-16-07, 11:32 AM | ::Spoiler:: though tag may be unecessary given the tag at the top. I have to say that this is one of the more intriguing mods to have played through. It makes me want to continue to represent CoL for the EXP mods. Very well written. My warforged knight was convinced that it may have been acceptable to allow Karvalis (sp) to allow himself to be martyred for the good of the Covenant. In the end, we were still able to save him. I'm not sure how that could've been an inevitable outcome though. I too am curious as to how a warforged would be affected by the dream beast. |
| Timlagor07-16-07, 07:03 PM | Interesting. I found the NPC behaviour and premise thoroughly unconvincing myself. |
| Mherduwynn07-21-07, 10:11 PM | And to you, Tim? :P (One learns early in this career that we can't please everyone.) Seriously though, if you have specific complaints and critiques, feel free to pass them along privately to me through this forum's PM system. I will gladly discuss the matter there with you. -August |
