Personal Prophecy and Dalkyr goo FTW [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-13-07, 11:56 AM So my cataclysm mage hits 7th with the level bump, and I have learned the secret of Xoriat. I can turn my opponents to goo and melt them away into lemon rains which squelch on the ceiling.

Good, bad, or indifferent?

08-14-07, 11:42 AM It's my opinion that anything involving Xoriat is probably Evil, or at the very least not Good. However, I'm sure that the Covenant of Light has an "unofficial" placement for such trouble shooters.

I really want to know what your personal prophecy is.

As regards to the Cataclysm of Flesh, I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be a 1/day ability (like all the other Cataclysm Mage sp abilities). I'm silent on whether it is evil or not, but all I can say is I'm glad you aren't playing at my table all the time because that ability round after round will ruin almost any combat encounters. :eek:

EDIT: It's impossible to have Cataclysm of Flesh until 8th level.

I'm sure it would drive my PC insane too, if I weren't immune to insanity.

(Actually I'm still 7th, so I don't have the icky goo yet. But Soon!)

And my prophecy has yet to be rolled in front of a GM. I'll do that next session I play.

08-20-07, 12:51 PM I don't have my EBCS with me, but what's the planar alignment of Xoriat? Chaotic, obviously, but CN? CE?

It seems if you're using opening a rift to an Evil plane (or otherwise borrowing power from it), that might be frowned upon by the Covenant.

Just a thought.

I don't see why. Also after 12 events all the prophecies would have been gone through as you can't have repeats.

08-20-07, 02:35 PM Sounds like something that would be recorded on your Adventure Journal both when you received the prophecy and when it was received. Each would be signed by the DM at the time.
