I am a student wrapping up my studies at Arcanix and have been accepted as a field agent in your organization. As I focus my studies, I assume that my Arcana classes are the most important to advance the interests of the Codex, but which other fields of study should I focus on? History? Geography? Dungeoneering?

There is much to know in the world, little grasshopper. Knowledge is power as you have quoted, and the lacking of knowledge is weakness.

I would feel that knowing your enemy would serve you well, thus do some reading on the Arcana, Nature, Religion, Dungeoneering and The Planes so that you may know who opposes you and through you,the Codex, and their strengths & weaknesses.

Needless to say, knowledge of the world is also good and knowing what is Local lore would help once you have left the confines of the library we all love to be in. If you have time after all that, maybe some reading into History so that you can learn from the mistakes of the past and maybe help us figure out the artifacts we bring back...

Do any of my collegues disagree with me?

In my travels collecting and interpreting the fragments of the draconic Prophecy, there has not been one particular type of knowledge that has been more or less important than any other. Indeed, the very nature of the Prophecy requires that we know as much as we can about any situation. In one instance, the strange and unnatural movements of a herd of rhinoceri in a Q'Barran swamp led me to a revelation regarding the potential assassination of an important military leader in Breland. If I had not know both the regular migration patterns of the large horned beasts AND the current military situation in Breland, this prophetic connection would have been lost. This is but just one instance, and I hope it illustrates the depth and breadth of our mission.
