Let me start by saying this was my first Gen Con, and I only signed on for one day. What a day it was. I made some newbie mistakes and played Round 1 of Well of Woe, then played a different character (My Crimson Codex character) for Prophecy's Unwitting Servant. But I had a great time, and I will certainly be back next year.

I just wanted to take the time to thank the writer (I am assuming it was the Faction Master) of Prophecy's Unwitting Servant and to encourage everyone who reads this to play this module. It was certainly a thinking man's quest, with an exciting hook that forced play to keep moving. I wasn't playing the most exciting character I had created, my Elf Rogue, was a third choice among my Xen'Drik creations. (And post-mod meta-gaming would have me design something different for the faction.) But I have to thank you for the best time gaming I think I have ever had. There were some interesting combats, or as interesting as you can get out of 1st level adventure parties. Some interesting puzzles to figure out. Not to mention an ending that had our whole table caught up in the moment of making our final decision about what to do. What an adventure!!!

Thanks again, I cannot wait to see what comes next for the Crimson Codex. Serpent Amakiir (Elf Rogue) will certainly answer the call.

Factionmaster Merwin did INDEED write Prophecy's Unwitting Serpent.

Thanks again, I cannot wait to see what comes next for the Crimson Codex.

Hi Amakiir, I'm glad you liked the adventure. I was your DM for the saturday night slot. Remember, in the Crimson Codex, knowledge is power. Also, you're playing a rogue, which is a featured class in codex adventures such as the 2nd adventure "Forbidden Knowledge".

I had a great time at Gencon. I look forward to seeing you next year.

Sweet Dol Arrah! You had Morgan the Bold as your DM!!!!

I'm surprised his ego didn't cause tpk.

PS - glad to hear you had a good time too, Morgan. Sorry I couldn't attend.

This was my first GenCon as well! Our group from AR managed to play all 25 hours available for X'!!! It was a blast and I'll be doing everything I can to make it back next year. Thanks to all the folks who GMed for us (especially since all three of our WoW mods were GM'ed by the Marshall!!!) It was great. I really enjoyed playing Noah, the Dragon Shaman and professional Ship Builder!!!

I'll second that. Having the marshal (and, actually a Greyhawk judge who was sick and going to be released b/c they had *gasp* more judges than tables (that's a rare thing from what I've seen at every con I've been to, ever) and he got drafted into running our third WoW mod without the benefit of reading any of the three, much less running any of it - poor guy did a good job despite being "baptised by fire."

Pretty good overall, and the judges (well the marshall and draftee I should say) were great. Kudos to you all for the hard work.
