About Campaign Cards... [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-28-07, 07:43 AM Just got my rewards. Only 2 Xen'drik cards and 4 Living Greyhawk cards. I'm quite confused as I only play Xen'drik, so why did the Wizards send me Living Greyhawk cards?

Anyway, I'd like to know if I can use LG cards for Xen'drik. It's not specified in the campaign rules, so I'd like to check things out.

04-28-07, 12:38 PM The distribution of cards has absolutely nothing to do with which campaigns you play. In fact this is the first time since the creation of the 'Reward Card' system that there have been any Living Greyhawk cards, despite Living Greyhawk having preceeded 'Legacy of the Green Regent', 'Mark of Heroes' and 'Xen'drik Expeditions' by a number of years. It may be a random distribution, it may be that there is an internal 'order' of cards which are sent. I don't know but in practical terms you get what you're sent and there's little point worrying about it (many LG players might be willing to trade for those LG cards, incidentally!)

I haven't noticed an announcement from the Factionmasters that any of the LG cards are useable in the Xen'drik campaign but it might be forthcoming. There's no mechanical reason why they shouldn't be, except the Snow Elf one, which has no logical application to XE. Similarly, there hasn't been an LG announcement of whether any of the XE cards can be used in LG. I don't have my cards yet, but I hear that there is only really one XE card which would fit LG so it's likely that four of the five XE cards will be XE only this time.

The announcement was made in an earlier thread (forget which one) but yes, the LG cards are playable in Xen'drik, except for the Snow Elf creation card.

04-29-07, 06:38 PM Timlagor is correct. It was announced in the Dispel Confusion. All four non-creation cards are legal for XE. They will be added to the XECS next time a new one is done.

04-30-07, 02:10 PM Anyone know who I contact about being skipped in the mailing? My wife got her cards just fine two weeks ago. Me? Nope. And I know I should be getting something as I received a mini and a template last month.

So who should I be emailing?
