Another Interesting Story object Question [Archive] - Wizards Community

I was noticing that when players print their crimson codex charcaters out, they DO have the correct gold and XP and such, but have text describing (in some cases) different information for the story object.

For instance, the story object from CC1, instead of matching teh bonuses described in the mod, says it allows access to a prestige class.

Another one has no text at all.

Should I assume the mod is right and the text in the system is wrong?

Should I assume the XP is right though, if it's more? They're level 2 by the database, but less than that by the default XP ammounts

Here's the deal, folks. The database isn't working correctly. With the RPGA person quitting at the most inconvenient time, things didn't get into the database correctly either.

The Factionmasters know things aren't going smoothly. We know, for instance, that there are no story object codes for the second faction mods. We know the second DM's Mark files are not there. Right now there isn't anything we can do about it. We don't have a time frame for when there will be something we can do about it.

For now and until further notice, use the information in the mods and Adventure Journals to keep track of things. If there is a discrepancy between the character tracker and your Adventure Journal using the default XP and gp amounts published in the CS, use your best judgment and common sense. Future adventures will have XP and gp awards published at the end. We know that we are going to have to figure a way to get people who have played already and who need to know their XP and gp from already played mods into their Adventure Journals. We are trying to figure out ways to do it.

We are fully and painfully aware of the issues. We want to get them fixed at least as much as, and most likely one-hundred times more than, the players. Everything that we can possibly do to get the information that we can provide to people we have done. If you have sent me an email or PM and have not received an email or PM back, it is because I do not have the information you are seeking. We are working, and will continue to work, to put ourselves into a position where we can solve these problems and get the campaign flowing as smoothly as we wish it would.

Thanks for your patience, as always.
