Are there any Artificers? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Have you sat at a table with an Artificer? (are they still in the campaign?)

05-08-07, 04:00 PM I play a d'Cannith artificer grossly based on Dwight from Sin City.

Last game, he did cast tons of fireball and lightning bolts, blasting the battlefield in a nearly elegant way.

He has a nice personnality, and he'll be equipped with guns soon (Wands) when he turns into a Cannith Wand Adept.

Artificers are great! Cheap cheap cheap equipment.

05-09-07, 07:24 AM An warforged artificer is our main melee type. With two homonculi to provide aid and flanking and rapid infusion to put bane on his weapon, he's a lot more effective than a fighter in XE.

05-10-07, 04:08 PM My crimson codex group has an artificer, though he doesn't stand out so much in my mind.
We have a local player that occasionally pops into games with essentially the same artificer character no matter what faction he's in: he's got a very distinctive personality, and I know he unlocked Delay Potion.
I've played with a warforged artificer/fighter, and he was quite undeniably effective.
I'd like to try an artificer sometime, but I've had too many other possibilities swirling around, and didn't have enough factions to fit one in. (I've got a dragonblooded warforged, a nondamaging sorcerer, and a gnoll totemist, and I'm eating Covenant of Light.)

05-10-07, 05:02 PM My BWC character, Bastion is a Ftr 2/Art 3. Artificer is a excellent class for dipping into as a warforged, even if only for a level or two.
