| Skerrit03-26-07, 02:03 PM | XE does not use Tome of Magic or Tome of Battle. I suspect the binder you have heard discussed in relation to XE are the Eberron prestige class such as Elemental Binder. Those classes are used instead. |
| jameswilliamogle03-26-07, 08:57 PM | This is what I saw: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebed/20060911a/copy ...Palinostrum is a binder -- a practitioner of pact magic(3). I had heard rumors and suggestions of such disciplines but never expected to actually encounter an openly practicing binder. Within Morgrave, no less! The Professor explained to me that his horns are a manifestation of his pact magic, specific to the spirit, or vestige, to whom he is bound. My knowledge in this area is limited, but it is my understanding that these vestiges are beings beyond gods and mortals, beyond death or any of the planes.... I just wondered if there ever were any ideas to incorporate them. |

| Kelvane03-27-07, 03:41 PM | Yea it's a shame they don't make use of Yome of Magic, there is some cool stuff in there. But at least it'll save some people $40.00. |
| Hellcast03-27-07, 04:56 PM | I like Tome of magic, altough i don't like tome of battle as a whole, there is some could stuff but the new machanics twist dnd too much. Tome of magic on the other side is a great book, i don't see why include incarnum and not tome of magic. |

Tome of magic on the other side is a great book, i don't see why include incarnum and not tome of magic.Thats what I think! |
| Mherduwynn03-31-07, 08:03 PM | There are a number of reasons why we Factionmasters as a group decided not to include those elements of play. Suffice to say, we try very hard to make sure you players have lots of options for your characters... ...and in general, we succeed. We are certainly the most permissive of the D&D Campaigns currently running in that regard. Will ToM or MoI ever be acceptable materials for Xen'Drik Expeditions? Possibly. If we ever make that distinction, you will certainly hear about it as soon as soon as we decide to allow them. Cheers, -A |
