| Beware of Kobold08-17-06, 06:21 PM | Spell casting services are listed with prices in the Player's Handbook, and the campaign standards state that anything from the Player's Handbook can be bought, so assuming a player had enough EV can he buy spellcasting services prior to the adventure, and start the game with a particular spell already on him? I'm talking specifically about having a spell such as enlarge person combined with a permanency spell so that every game you begin as a large creature. Would this be treated as two consumable items, or is it just a normal cost item because its permanent? I would appreciate anyone's opinion regarding this matter. Thanks |
| Herrbard08-17-06, 07:45 PM | Well, just an opinion. At first look I said no. But when I search the XenEx standards, and then the Mark of Heroes standards, I can't find the reference I thought was there. I know in Living Greyhawk the NPC spell casting list is off limits, except for AR access to particular spells. I still think it is no, but we will need to wait for a ruling on this one. :( |
