So, the ECS doesn't have rules for byeshk ammo, which is really a bummer, because when I want to kill some horrible abomination from beyond the ken of stately reality

a) I wish to do so from far away
b) I'd maybe like to save a little gp

1. Are there rules in any Eberron supplement for byeshk ammo? If so, what book/source? If not, can I just make stuff up? Adamantine arrows normally cost 60gp, which is 1/50th of the normal +3,000gp cost of an adamantine melee weapon. (With the consumable modifier, it gets bumped to 300). Since byeshk is +1,500g for that longspear, does it make sense that byeshk ammo is 30gp normally, thus 150gp XE for an arrow?

2. Since I, uh, maybe don't own all the Eberron books out there (shock!), I'm also looking for references to other kinds of neat ammo. Anything else out there?

Here's what I know so far...

Thanks in advance for your help, and please excuse me if these questions seem a bit gauche.

Unless it specifically disallows ammo, you would price it as you do for ammunition (just as you did). A group of 50 arrows is enchanted at the cost given (+1500gp) and then you take 5x for the consumable. I believe you could take 1/5 the normal amount at 1x base cost (like for wands). I'm not sure you can buy a single arrow though. It would seem the least you can spend is +1500gp for 10 Byeshk arrows.

Byeshk is a special material, so I don't believe the "charged item" rules would apply.

Ohako: Based on the precedent of adamantine and masterwork weapons, I'd say that it would work as you listed in your post. But that's just my thoughts, and one of the FMs will have to confirm or correct us.

Arrows are consumable and are subject to the x5 prices, regardless of the material they are made of.

Byeshk ammo in XE would cost +150gp per piece of ammo, (be it arrows, bolts, or whatever). And you could buy it in whatever amount you want, since it will be priced individually. And of course it would refresh at the end of each adventure session. We'll make sure to add this to the XECS next time.

I was saying that you wouldn't have to pay for them in blocks of 10 in the part you quoted.

Oh :) Yeah I wasn't sure. There are a couple rules on ammunition and it may have been older editions that you enchanted ammunition in groups of 50 (Though the price is the same in 3.5 it appears to have removed that).
