In reading the draft of the new Campaign Standards document, I note that it, once again, make reference to printing your character sheet and that it will have a "validation graphic" with an expiration date.

I've *never* seen such a graphic on any printouts. Is it just me? A browser setting? Does it simply not work?

I'm just curious to see what others have experienced with this.

{EDIT}
I should note that I *do* get a background image, and have enabled my browser to print the background image, but there's no date on the image.

It's very buggy (like the whole RPGA database has been) and shows up sometimes and not at others.

I have never seen any graphic with a date either. I wonder if just showing the date in the footer will be OK...wouldn't want to be turned away from a game (with my character) because of this.

Thanks,

The problem is, when it doesn't work it doesn't work for at least the weekend. If the DM forces you to play with minimum experience, he'll be forcing everyone. That won't be a good long term solution.

I never enforce the date because of this. Of course, I have a very insular group of players. Still, until the database issues are solved I can't see enforcing this.

As for the footer data, it's a nice idea. However, anyone that is going to cheat can easily fake it anyway (changing the time on their computer before printing it).
