Clarification about GP Limit and Mithral Shirt. [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-20-06, 12:44 AM Jsut want to know if I can purchase a Mithral Shirt at level 2 even though the GP limit is only 450gp. It seems possible, after reading the campaign standards, but I'd just like to make sure.

12-20-06, 01:02 AM Don't think so. Only Darkwood, Silver, Cold Iron and Adamantine is unlimited. Mithral is not.

12-20-06, 02:07 PM Where is the discount for a mithral shirt listed? I thought they ran 1,100 gp, a wee bit more than the level 2 cap.

I do agree that allowing adamantine and not mithral is a bit a head-scratcher though. Maybe it is the cost factor. Mithral armors are available cost-wise before adamantine.

12-20-06, 03:23 PM adamantine is likely free'd up due to its use within eberron. its needed on weapons to get through the damage reduction of some warforged. it isn't mandatory or anything, but it was prolly enough to justify it.
