| Fiery_Fighter_Drake04-09-08, 04:05 PM | Alright, so I making a barbarian/fighter character using the Complete Champion Alternate Class Feature to give him the ability to pounce. Want I want to know is, if I charge and make a Leap Attack with a greataxe, does the x3 multiplier when using Power Attack apply to all my attacks? Need official clarification on this, for my DM again. |
| smerwin2904-09-08, 04:39 PM | This time you are stuck with your DM's interpretation. This is a D&D rule, not an XE rule. (If I were DMing a home game, I could ban the living daylights out of that alternative class feature!) :-D Shawn |
| Malicea04-09-08, 05:14 PM | Take note that the Lion Totem alternate class feature from Complete Champion is Restricted (banned) in Xendrik Expeditions. It's noted in the XECS :) |
| smerwin2904-09-08, 05:32 PM | Thanks for that. I searched the document, and my PDF reader did not spot that. So that answers that question. Shawn |
| JJeff04-09-08, 10:59 PM | If I get my DnD rules right, the answer is Yes, by the way. As long as you power attacked with all your attacks (which you have to once you declare power attack). One broken (non-XE) combo is a Barb/Rangerwith Lion totem, Leap attack, Favored Power Attack and Battle Jump for... I think a 1 to 8 exchange on your power attack or something like that |
| smerwin2904-10-08, 07:44 AM | That is certainly going to be a common ruling. Hence the banning of anything giving PCs a "pounce" ability . . . |
| Fiery_Fighter_Drake04-10-08, 10:28 AM | Well, not that it's been cleared up, I suppose JJeff has answered my next question: Do I get the 3x Power Attack if I activate a Belt of Battle to give me another full-round action? By his answer, it seems like it would be a yes? |
| JJeff04-10-08, 10:41 PM | Unfortunately, I would say no. The full attack action is not part of the leap charge. The new full-attack action would be a normal one. |
