Coming from LG, where everything is clearly spelled out as to whether it is restricted or not, I'm a bit confused as to what is restricted in the Xendrik campaign.

Say I want to play a Half-Giant with a reward card. The card says that it unlocks everything which is nonrestricted in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. Where can I find out what is nonrestricted for that book?

Likewise, being a half-giant, I can use large size weapons and so I'm wondering how I find out if these are a restricted item, if I need documentation access to use a large weapon, or I can just buy one at first level?

In all honesty, the best thing to do is to simply wait until nest week when the new version of the Campaign Standards come out.

Everything that is restricted is listed on the restricted list at the end of the XECS 1.1 that comes out next week.

Can you give me an idea of where this document will be posted? I'm just starting an XE group, and need to get the players/characters prepared. :)

Thanks!

It will likely be posted to all the XE yahoogroups I know of, as well as the WOTC XE website. Expect to see an announcement on the RPGA site this week (when the web folks get around to XE).

Since this is the first time this group has played an RPGA scenario (other than National D & D Games Day), and my first time as a DM or in play in an RPGA Scenario, do you think it would be advisable to just use Fastplay characters?

Something tells me I'm going to be visiting these forums a lot to ask questions. :D

I think creating characters is not really a huge deal. Yes, you may have questions, and that's OK. Most of the questions come AFTER the creation, when people are trying take rules items from sources outside of the PHB and DMG as they increase in level.
