Butterface 01-19-07, 07:51 AM	Just curious, has anyone actually made level 5 yet? I played every mod I could with my Codex character, and have not gotten past 4.
Harliquinn 01-19-07, 08:22 AM	I don't think the maximum XP will allow you to be 5th level. The idea behind the last DM's Marks I believe were to bump the cash mainly. There were only 10 modules you could play with a single faction and I think on average it would be about 1K / module. Therefore, most will hit 4th by playing all the modules, but no one should be able to reach 5th.
Rewth 01-19-07, 09:39 AM	technically, if you have a level 4 character then you beat the bump. level four is 6k xp. level 5 is 10k. the likely hood of your character having exactly 6k is pretty slim. for all you know you have 9700xp and will level to 5 after the very next module you play, while the rest of us will be still sitting at 4th. it might not be as obviously satisfying as seeing a 5 next to your character already, but assuming the bump happens correctly you will eventually see the reward from your efforts. my question though... did you manage to exceed 5000 gold? to my knowledge they haven't said thats the value of the bump, but that was what the last two campaigns were.

My character tracker is vastly different from my adventure journal, as I've had several issues that are still (hopefully?) being resolved by RPGA HQ. For example, Codex 1, all three rounds of Well of Woe, and Mere of Shattered Souls did not credit to my character tracker, but I have signed documentation for those games. The result is, my character tracker tells me that I have a 3rd level character with 3100 gold, but my adventure journal tells me that I have (using the median results posted on these forums) an extra 3200 xp, and 3550 ev. So, assuming I have the minimum xp needed for 3rd level (which is all I can do since the character tracker only lists a level, not an xp total), I have. . . 6200 xp, and 6650 ev? SO yeah, I guess I beat the level bump!:confused: If anyone understands this post, I applaud you.

I'm waiting on HQ to resolve my Dragon*Con issues. :raincloud Also - has anyone else had this problem? Mere of Shattered Souls appears on my player activity, yet did not credit to any of my characters. Very weird! I submitted an email to HQ, so maybe I'll get a response in about 5 weeks. ;)
Harliquinn 01-19-07, 03:12 PM	Does your primary faction have a default and other character? (retired, dead, etc?). I noticed when regarding a few games that for some players, the dropdown had both "Default" and "Character Name" entries to choose from. I always chose the character name, but I thought it weird that there were two listed. Perhaps your GM had the same thing and chose "Default" instead. Harli

Marcus Majarra 01-23-07, 02:33 PM	My Codex character got to level 4, with an EV of 8450gp. BTW, I just noticed they changed the sign-in and members pages to match the Judge Center layout, sort of.
Britt 01-29-07, 11:24 AM	My CoS character made it to 8,100 gp and level 4 (+xp from Mere). That's without the stuff from CoS1, which got messed up somehow due to playtesting.

Istaran 01-29-07, 05:17 PM	I barely beat it with my primary: level 3 with 5130 gp. So I'll be bumped on level, but have an ever-so-narrow lead on cash.
Randall Montgomery 01-31-07, 01:38 PM	Just got the last of my mods reported, and it's official: out of my 4 characters, only my Crimson Codex paladin beat the bump. Having played all the modules except the Blackwheel and Cabal DMs Mark 3, using my Blackwheel character for Well of Woe and my Codex for Mere of Shattered Souls, here is where all my characters stand: Crimson Codex - 4th lvl/5652 GP Blackwheel - 3rd lvl/4150 GP Cabal - 3rd lvl/3550 GP Covenant - 3rd lvl/4400 GP Except for some unfortunant incidents, my Blackwheel character probably would have beat the level bump, and I was at least close with the other two, so I'm not too put out about it. I'm looking forward to the end of the blackout period to get started with all my characters at 4th.
