Just saw that these were orderable (12/20 - 1/17)

I and my players thank you.

We may need to have breakdowns on XP if we track on paper as well as on the site though. The 3rd faction mod had them, but the DM's marks don't

Ok, I'm a little confused by this. Most everyone is already saying how difficult it is to play the current modules before they expire, and now another 4 modules are added with the same experation date! Why wasn't the experation date for these pushed back a couple of week, or the mods held off until after the bump. I don't mean to dis on the factionmasters for giving us more modules to play, as I'm sure a great deal of effort went into it. I do, however, seriously question the timing, especially given the previous feedback about the time constraints. I would prefer holding off on these than trying to cram them into an already unbelievably tight schedule.

There are several threads on this already.

Let me explain...no, there is too much. Let me sum up...

1) RPGA staffing issues create problems with scheduling
2) Factionmasters have modules ready
3) Modules can't be played after level bump
4) Level bump is scheduled for February (D&D Experience)
5) RPGA gives a few weeks to get mods recorded prior to level bump
6) Therefore, last modules must be ordered by 1/17/07
7) Better to have opportunity to play modules than to have the modules go unused
8) Not everyone is happy but it's the way things are. Factionmasters are doing their best to prevent this from happening again.

True.

3) Modules can't be played after level bump
If this were a faction module, I would agree. However, it should be a fairly simple matter to adjust a DM's Mark for the bump (simpler, really, because they only have to make it for 4th-5th level PCs, instead of 1st-5th).

4) Level bump is scheduled for February (D&D Experience)

D&D Experience isn't until the middle of February. While I understand they need time to apply the level bump, I wouldn't think moving the expiration back till the end of January on only these 4 modules would be crippling. And still, if it was, then just follow my previous suggestion and move it after the level bump.

7) Better to have opportunity to play modules than to have the modules go unused
8) Not everyone is happy but it's the way things are. Factionmasters are doing their best to prevent this from happening again.

As I said, I understand the Factionmasters are working their butts off for us, and I am not unappreciative. However, if almost no one can play these modules, I think it would be better to let them go and wait until after the level bump. Like I said in the beginning of this post, they're DM's Marks, and I don't think there should be that much difficulty in adjusting them. If I'm wrong, I will humbly apologize and postrate myself before the FMs in supplication, begging for forgiveness  ; 'till then, I stand behind what I said

The additional DM's Mark has a very specific purpose. The addition xp/gp make it possible for avid players to stay ahead of the level kick.

What is the max xp/gp available to players through this DM Mark if they get the best possible results (all A's)?

I have some players tracking via adventure journals, is the reason I ask. I'm assuming you don't have a problem with DM's knowing the xp totals, or else you wouldn't have put them into the third Faction Mod. So, does anyone know the answer to this question? Or can a faction master post what answering A,B,C, or D yields as far as xp/gold?

Thanks!

I'll second the request as I'm running this next week. So far we've been able to keep up with the XP and GP for all mods, and then get updated by the character tracker (which has almost all of the problems fixed!). It would be nice to know what the numbers are for this one as well.

Sigh...one more mod for me to try to squeeze in by Jan. 17th. So that leaves me with 1 Cabal of Shadows Mod, 4 Xendrick Expedition mods, and 1 DM's mark. Ouch! I certainly hope you guys can either slow down this pace or expand deadlines in the future. I understand all the problems that caused this issue, but betwee the holidays and all of this coming out at once, Living Greyhawk keeps looking better and better to me with it's less stressful deadlines.

Hmmm...well, I ran Shadows of the Last War as DM's Mark 1 & 2. I was thinking of running Whispers of the Vampires Blade for DM's Mark 3, but with such a short time limit, maybe I will just run Orc & Pie instead.

Okay, Brian, we are holding you to that. I don't know how much XP weighs, but gold weighs 50 gp/lbs. So at a ton of gold (2,000 lbs.) that's 100,000 gp total. Divided by six and we get 16,667 for each player. That's not bad for 4th-level characters. :D

I guess that the bump will be to thrid level since even after playing all the faction adventures 1, 2 and 3 plus all three DM's Marks that's all my secondary character got to. Or the bump will be to 4th and all characters that don't play the Expeditions will be bumped the entire campaign.

Also, there looks to be an error in the coding of the BWC DM's Mark Story Objects EXBC04 should be EXBC05 and EXBC05 should be EXBC06. Also, there looks to be an issue with how the commendation with one of the story objects is coded players that got the medal received that much gold less then the players that didn't - just something that you Faction Masters might want to look into.

http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=10951114&postcount=7 is a post where I explained what is up with the bump: what I think the plan originally was and what I hope it will be in the future.
