We know that classes normally unlock everything they directly give you that is from the same book. What about feats? For example, from Dragon Magic:

Draconic Aura feat gives you one of the draconic auras from the list in that book. Do I need to unlock the aura seperately? Thefore I need 2 expansion slots + 1 per aura I take (by taking the feat multiple times)? Or is it just 2 slots for the feat, and each aura I so pick available to me without a seperate unlock?
For a messier example: Extra Invocation from CA gives an invoking class (warlock or dragonfire adept) an extra invocation to work with. However, if I'm playing a dragonfire adept, that invocation is from a different book than the feat giving it to me. Would that be cleared by the fact its from my class list from d. adept, and is in the same book as the class?

Just trying to plan ahead and figure out how many unlocks I need for what. Thanks.

If a feat gives you a power, the power is unlocked along with it.

The Extra Invocation Feat issue should be worked out because the Dragonfire Adept class unlocks any invocations that are given as part of the class (in the same book). The Extra Invocation feat for a Dragonfire Adept would let you take any of those invocations (In Dragon Magic) without an expansion because they were already unlocked by your Class. However, if a new book includes Dragonfire Adept invocations you can't take one of those with Extra Invocation without adding it to your expansion list as well. (This was covered a few months back in another thread).

At least I think that is how it still works?

If a feat gives you a power, the power is unlocked along with it.

Just to clarify: If a feat gives you access to several unnamed powers (such as Extra Invocation), that feat only unlocks, as choices, the powers in the same book as the feat, correct? (That is how it was being described before). Choices that appear in another book wouldn't be automatically unlocked. Of course, powers associated with a class, in the same book as the class, are unlocked by taking the class.

Correct, the is an extra XXX feat gives you another power, you can choose from anything that is unlimited or is locked but in the same book that feat appears.
