Since my trip home from GenCon was extended a few days, I haven't had the chance to chime in yet. I want to sincerely thank all the players, judges, writers, and fellow Factionmasters for a wonderful time at GenCon Indy this year. Marshalling can sometimes be a tense thing, and I did not have one player give me grief for not getting seated with a generic or any other reason. That was a first, and this was by far the largest convention to date.

All the Crimson Codex tables I ran seemed to have fun, and Rich and Mike did a great job with the writing of "A Costly Truth" and with judging, and the other judges I sent out did a similarly great job.

It was a pleasure to get to talk with the other Factionmasters face to face for only the second time. Good conventions leave you energized for more work, and bad ones leave you demoralized. I haven't been this energized in a while!

Thanks again to all who made the convention a success, in terms of XE and beyond.

I'd like to add my thanks to all the Factionmasters, Judges, and Marshals. It seemed Xen'drik seating and playing went off very smoothly and I didn't talk to anyone who had a bad time.

I would like to echo the above sentiments. My thanks to everyone who was at GenCon, from the people in charge of Marshalling, to the GM's to my fellow players. I was in three different sessions plus the Open and had a great time in each.

"A Costly Truth" was great in particular as I had one of the writers as GM (sorry can't remember which one) and an excellent group that worked great together.

The only downer was the announcement of 4th Edition which I didn't really think was needed, but oh well.

That would either be Rich Marflak or Mike Barnes, the co-authors of the adventure. Both worked hard on putting together a fun adventure, and I didn't get any bad reports on their tables, which seemed to have an enjoyable time.

Yeah I want to say that it was Mike, but just cannot remember for sure. Both were DMing on Thursday night, but in any event they both deserve a hearty pat on the back for a great job.

Edit: It was in fact Mike that was DM'ing my table, so again Kudos to Mike, you did a great job! (I'm sure Rich did too, but unfortunately I did not get the chance to play with him).
