A PC payed 200gp out of his own pocket to gain some information. The party then recovered 135gp for another encounter and gave it all to the PC who payed for information. Do I report this? How do I report it? Do I report that his gold loss is 65gp? Thanks for any help.

There are only a few specific items that can cause actual gold loss, such as paying for someone to be brought back from the dead. Any of these rare few instances will be very specific to say that the loss is permament, and clearly tell you how to track it.

Simple items like greasing palms, losing gear, using consumables, or buying items in game never have an effect on a character's equipment value outside of that module, i.e. while he doesn't have that money/gear/whatever for the rest of the current module, he gets it all back for the next one that is run.
