Is there a limit on the number of Homonculi that an artificer can have?

Also, are they considered an "item" for purposes of Extraordinary Artisan and reduced costs for crafting?

Should they cost 5x more because they are essesntially consumable?

If not, do I deduct a gp value if the homonc dies?

1) No, they are considered magic items.
2) Yes, you can reduce their costs.
3) They are no consumable; so they are not x5 (a small perk for artificers compared to some of the other limitations we are forced to put on them.)
4)You do not.
