Since I'm going to be doing this for a Xen'drik character, I thought I'd post this here.

Basically, I have a fighter with Leap Attack and Combat Brute. Leap Attack, under certain circumstances which include charging, increase damage with Power Attack to x3. Combat Brute is a tactical feat which allows me to use a maneuver that increases my damage with Power Attack to x3 in the round after I've charged an enemy.

Here's the question: If I charge an enemy with Leap Attack and somehow manage to charge him again in the following round with Leap Attack, this time with Combat Brute maneuver, how will the two x3 stack?

I've had two opinions already, x5 or x9. What is the official answer?

Page 304 of the DMG answers that, under Multiplying. Whoever gave you the opinion that the answer is x5 gave the correct answer.

You would multiply the damage x3 then in the next round it would remain at x3 so while it doesn't stack per say you gain the benefit of a x3 modifier for 3 straight rounds given the scenario you provided. I just realized something if you don't Power Attack after charging then wait till the round your Combat Brute bonus is applied it would in deed do x5 wow that's pretty sick.

Sorry, but I have to add in that Leap Attack has been errated (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/CompleteAdventurer_Errata08022005.zip) to say:

Change the second sentence to say:"If you cover at least 10 feet of horizontal distance with your jump, and you end your jump in a square from
which you threaten your target, you deal +100% the normal bonus damage from your use of the Power Attack feat."

Depending on how you read it, this should affect the third sentence that says: "If you use this tactic with a two hande weapon, you instead triple the extra damage from Power Attack" to not be a multiper too since it inherits meaning from the second sentence. I take it to imply that with a 2-handed weapon you add +200% of the power attack extra damage (If you disagree, I can't do anything. It's an interpretation issue since they kinda left it vague...)

The Combat Brute changes the exchange rate and thus is affect by the +100% of the leap attack if 1 handed and (in my opinion) also the +200% of the 2-handed weapon Power Attack.

Meaning it is no longer a multiplier and thus does not need to abide by the DMG pg 304 rule.

This means:
Power Attack with 1H Weapon - 1 for 1 exchange
Power Attack with 1H Weapon and with Combat Brute- 1 for 1.5 exchange
Power Attack with 1H Weapon and with Combat Brute and Leap Attack- 1 for 1.5 exchange and then add the bonus again, gaining you an effective 1 for 3 exchange.

Power Attack with 2H Weapon - 1 for 2 exchange
Power Attack with 2H Weapon and with Combat Brute- 1 for 3 exchange
Power Attack with 2H Weapon and with Combat Brute and Leap Attack- 1 for 3 exchange and then add the bonus twice again, gaining you an effective 1 for 9 exchange.

If you feel that the third sentence is no changed and is still a multipier, then the 1 to 5 exchange as noted above is correct.
If you feel that the second sentence errata erases the third sentence, then the exchange is 1 to 6.

Just adding in my 2 copper...
