echoota 02-07-07, 10:12 PM	So in the last retool we were able to change our starting class, and of course I did, but now it says that you can't change your starting class? Are the adventure journals with DMs signing off on them still going to trump the new rules on retooling?
lordtiberiusfoxx 02-07-07, 11:25 PM	I didn't even get a chance to play them after the 1.1 retool! I'm hoping that my two characters that this affects will not be invalidated because of this. I have a "before" and "after" the 1.1 retool adventure journals clearly marked. Will this be acceptable?
Skerrit 02-07-07, 11:37 PM	I guess you would call those different types of "retooling." Once the FMs came on board and unlocked all these new options with v1.1, we pretty much let you change all kinds of stuff. That's fine. All changes made then stand. Now starting with DDXP and v2.0, we list what you can do in the future. The rules are basically set, and you won't need full scale changing of your character like last time. You don't need to worry, your Adventure Journal carries all the details, it's all nice and legal, you are safe.
Istaran 02-13-07, 04:25 AM	In the latest round of retooling, is retooling Ranger Favored Enemies allowed? I can live with my old choice, but in light of one of the new feats in Complete Scoundrel I would rather have a different FE.
Lilinthra 02-14-07, 10:35 AM	Just wanted to confirm... can the 1st level choices for skills & feats be retooled after a level bump? Or are those included in "starting class and statistics"? Wasn't sure if statistics only meant ability scores and the campaign extras like the secondary favored class or not.

heirodule 02-20-07, 10:37 AM	Can you retool alignment? Is that even a retool, since core rules allow PCs to change alignment for most purposes? Listen to a song long enough... you might want to start singing along.... :-)

Jesse Heinig 02-22-07, 04:05 AM	If you put a feat on your expansion list at level 4 (and 5) thanks to the level kick, can you retool and take that feat with your 3rd level character feat, or does your character's expansion list have a 1-to-1 correspondence with actual level advancement?
