Level bump when? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-06-06, 08:02 PM When is the level bump? Will that affect existing characters or only new characters? Will it be to level 4?

11-06-06, 08:21 PM Level bumps generally take place at the two big RPGA showcase events: GenCon and Winter Fantasy.

Level bumps affects any character that is beneath the level and EV of the bump.

Generally the first level bump is 4th level. I am not making any promises though! :D

11-30-06, 11:11 AM Is there an official date for this?

The initial scenarios all seem to expire mid-January, but I don't know if this means that there are a few weeks when you're not allowed to play anything or if the new DM's Marks (or whatever) will be playable the day after the last day we can play all the stuff currently available.

11-30-06, 06:08 PM We need a brief week or two for the system to process the level kick. So there is a break where all XE games retire... level kick... then next big RPGA show in Feb. (not January like I was thinking).

If they bump to 4th level in mid to end january, the only player character that would probably be of that level is one that has played all of the adventures in their faction and the Well of Woe, this hardly seems fair and if so then what would the point be of playing the other factions if you just end up getting bumped up evertime.

12-03-06, 08:04 PM We are a little short on mods with this first level bump, but that is largely a problem with the problems we've had getting out mods with all the HQ turnover issuses. You should be much better of in the future.
