Looks like the new faction modules are in the database and able to be ordered.

BWC-4 The Trouble with Pirates
CSH-4 Fire in the Heart of Madness
CVN-4 Brave Soldiers
CDX-4 Tomb of Tomes

Some good, some bad news. Good news, they're available until 29th July, so throughout most of this level-bump period. Bad news, they're not available for conventions and retail until 1st March (so effectively a six-week blackout period) and gamedays and homegames from 1st April.

Hope I'm not being too anxious, but when are the DM marks coming out then? Available for the same period?

This is a bit longer than I expected. The PMs will look into the scheduling at DDXP and see what can be done.

Bit longer ... meaning they're not available as early as you hoped? Or that they retire later than you envisaged?

From what you've all said previously I imagine you mean that you want them to be available sooner, and I certainly hope that's what you mean!

Is there a technical problem preventing them being available for conventions/retail at the same time as D&D XP and for gamedays/homegames from (say) 14th March? If not, what's the policy reason for the delay? Even that additional two-weeks would make things look a lot better and still give conventions the right to run them earlier.

There may be the issue that if you allow a homegame to run 2 weeks after a convention, the homegame can actually download and play the scenario before the conventiion start (have to allow a download in advance for SOME prep-time), reducing the draw for convention.

Even though I never heard of this or complaints about this, this was the reason given for institutin the download delay when you order for a non-con event.

I won't be too disappointed by an Apirl 1 homegame release, as long as there's a DMs mark before then. I left my PCs with a cliffhanger, in true pulp fashion, and I'd like to resolve it with the DM Mark before we run Codex #4.

Yes, I mean they aren't available as soon as I would like.

And yes, there should be DM's Mark #4 for as well.

So there will only be 1 session we can play for homes games till April? That is very frustrating. It's going to be hard to keep the momentum for the home game group going with two and a half months downtime. Everyone is already starting to get into other rpg campaigns because we are sitting around during this interm.

If you want the D&D campaign system to grow then you need more grass roots support. Tight windows of play are bad enough but huge downtime that makes home game groups fragment doesn't keep the interest sustained.

I completely agree. As I said, that amount of downtime is more than I expected and the FMs will look into it. It's possible those are the default dates and the system applies and they can be edited.

I would think that heirodule is correct. If they place the release day too early, people might actually be able to download the module before DDXP and run it or even spoil the adventure by reading before playing (the horror!!!).

And the normal gap between con/retail and game/home has always been one month. If you can change that gap, I think the problem woudl be solved.
