For reward EXNF02, what is meant by a 'one time bonus'? Does it apply for only the next adventure, or once every adventure? If the latter, can you change your choice of item every adventure?

While I'm not familiar with that story object, traditionally "one-time" means just that.

It happens one time, then the story object (or at least it's benefit) is gone.

From my reading of it, the reward would be buying an item at the discount, and then you are done. You would have to keep the item to keep the benefit of the discount. No re-tooling of the item, as the discount would go away.

Just my interpretation based on past story objects. I'm sure Shawn, Greg, August or Brian will be by shortly and correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

The wise Mr. Herrbard's interpretation is also how I would interpret it. If the author wants to chime in, he is welcome. You can also send him a PM if you want his attention to the matter.

I assume you would need to note your exact choice in the adventure journal, which should(?) distinguish between different 'levels' of an item - +1 Longsword is different from +5, for example. Can you 'save' the reward for a later adventure than the next one played?

Sure, you make the choice when you use the reward.
