Even though the events were reported from Origins (I did recieve Player Rewards Points for them), my characters from Xendrick Expeditions AND Mark of Heroes did not recieve ANY gold or XP - and I played 5 events! Is something wrong with the character tracker? Is there any way for me to salvage my gold and xp from Origins?

I have not received anything at all reported for Origins, in Xen'drik or in Mark of Heroes.

Naturally, I'm quite grumpy.

EDIT: It looks look I got the Rewards Points very recently, but still no XP/gold/story objects.

In the modules that ran at Origins, it said that the character tracking database would not be functional before GenCon, so characters should keep any treasure they found and write it down on their character sheets because EV would not be updated

Even if you played both a faction DM's Mark and the first faction mod so far, you would not have enough XP to take you to second-level before GenCon regardless.

As soon as the character tracking database is updated and ready, people will see their equipment value, and possibly their level, increasing. But this will not be ready until after GenCon, I am fairly sure.

Shawn, thanks for the concise and clear explanation. I had presumed as much from other postings, but you as usual put it much better. This explains the problem as far as Xen'drik goes.

The nagging question for many of us is still: why were the MoH characters not updated? (I know, wrong forum, but the question was raised by the OP). I'm asking this in the MoH boards as well, so hopefully we will know something soon. (I want my character to actually get past a level bump on his own for once!)

Shawn's right on about the Origins info, of course. Particularly given that Origins was just a campaign "preview."

As for MoH--if it makes you feel better, mine still hasn't been updated since WF! Of course, that also means that little curse I picked up won't be hurting me too much :P :D

My Xendrik PC has been updated from the MSR preview. Of course, my MOH PC doesn't have the results of Origins.

My characters from Origins aren't updated - but I do see that I've been credited about 6 times each for the two modules I played in.

/not that I'm complaining about picking up an extra 40 points. . . .

Has anyone had any characters updated yet since Origins? I have not.

Still nothing from Origins (or most of GenCon). Game days I have run have had the player's characters updated, including story objects/certs, so this seems to be a problem with the large-scale events.

"Be patient" is starting to wear a little thin, as some players have their characters updated, and some players (who have played the same adventures, just at different venues) do not. Please, RPGA, don't let this campaign be a database casualty! :raincloud

Agreed. We're not satisfied with the "be patient" answer either. In fact, I grow less patient each time I have to type it! ;)

The factionmasters know that the first faction modules all have approved XP and GP assigned to them. So those should be in RPGA hands. This weekend we had to play catch-up in the absence of any editor and (re)assign GP and XP for faction 2 and Well of Woe. Those are now done. I expect that all of these issues will now move along to the folks in charge of RPGA database updating/entry.

Of course, given that we had a near-record number of XE players for a new campaign, they'll have their hands full. Rest assured, the pressure to get these things done is felt on both sides.

We'd also like you to level up--so you can witness firsthand all of the devilish things we have in store for you! :schemes:
