Ok to play Well of Woe first? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I'm going to Gen Con Indy and looked at their site and to my
surprise all but the very first slot for Well of Woe were all booked
up as were all of the early Well of Woe part 1 slots, so I
pretty much HAD to sign up for the three slotter on the first
day. This means I can't have played my faction's first
adventure, which is recommended to be played first on the
RPGA site. Will I be ok? :)

Also, with 5 slots worth of adventure, it's hard to imagine
not getting enough experience to get to 2nd level at some
point. Is there any mechanic for levelling during the
convention? (Some kind of card or certificate, proving you
are 2nd level, I'd imagine.)

Thanks! :D

P.S. If this sounds at all ignorant, the only RPGA games I've
played were 3 Mark of Heroes games at the last Gen Con Indy!

for the dnd campaigns you cannot level during an event (like at gencon) but if you can find a game there is a chance to play the first faction adventures before gencon.

Though i dont think it'll be a huge thing if you haven't played the first adventure and you play well of woe first.

Isn't Gen Con ordered as an event for each day? If so, wouldn't a character be updated from day to day if they get all of the tracking forms entered on the day you played?

They're ordered as seperate event, but there's next to no chance that results will be in by the start of the next day. It just takes too long to process that many results, especially with D&D campaigns.

Heck, I still have results from Winter Fantasy 2006 that aren't in right yet...

My question is not only about Well of Woe but also the Abbadon one (which I forgot the complete name) Is this adventure REALLY only for Gen Con... if so, that's not good because we (the brazilian gamers) are not going to play it right? Isn't there any way to play the conventions adventures HERE just like you do THERE?

The Xen'drik Expedition Delve (Spellspitter's Abbadon) isn't really an official adventure in the Xen'drik Expedition campaign. Basically, it is a "sideshow" that doesn't count in terms of XP or GP for your character. Deaths do not count, and you do not even have to play your Xen'drik character. Some special cards are offered as prizes, of course. One generic ticket gives you 20 minutes in the delve to collect tokens that can be turned in for the reward cards.
