| Harliquinn08-25-06, 08:13 AM | Well I was checking my activity this morning, I noticed that not only have they removed the 'extra' events that were mistakenly reported, but they have removed *all* my events from Origins. Can anyone comment on their status as well? Thanks! |
| smerwin2908-25-06, 08:46 AM | According to the Senior DM for RPGA events at Origins, they have deleted all of those records to attempt to re-input them correctly. So it was done on purpose. That's all the news I have. |
| Harliquinn08-25-06, 09:57 AM | Thanks! That makes me feel better at least. I'll just keep my eyes out for changes. (Just hope it all gets reported by the end of the month for Player Rewards) |
| WolfStar7608-25-06, 01:42 PM | Awwww, we don't get to keep all those yummy extra points? |
| kenobi6508-25-06, 02:21 PM | Awwww, we don't get to keep all those yummy extra points? Guess not. At that rate, I was gonna get around 21 Player Reward cards this fall. :p |
| WolfStar7608-29-06, 04:35 PM | Guess not. At that rate, I was gonna get around 21 Player Reward cards this fall. :p I guess I was just hoping to make up for lost time. I've had my RPGA number since GenCon '04 and haven't received a packet yet. ((Didn't really understand the program, don't have local play opportunities, etc etc)) With the Origins stuff not showing up at all, and tomorrow being the deadline, looks like I'm gonna miss this mailing too. *sigh* Ahwell, there's always Winter mailing. :) |
| MysticRhythms09-06-06, 02:53 PM | Alright, it's fantastic that I've got 250 gold on all of my first level characters (except one) that I played at Origins. Where are my digital story objects? Those are the reasons i'm getting attached to my characters at all and I was told I received them for my play at the Origins events but not a single one of my characters has any digital story object. Is this still a problem with the database or am I just "special" in that I didn't receive digital story objects? I know for a fact that I got all of the story objects for my Crimson Codex character (Shawn Merwin was even my GM!) and my Blackwheel Company character. I know for a fact I got one story object for my Covenant of Light charcter and that I certainly did not get one. What gives? |
| smerwin2909-06-06, 03:07 PM | As has been mentioned elsewhere, the Factionmasters were told that there would be room for three story objects in the database. It turned out that room was only made for two. I have sent a detailed report to RPGA HQ on what to do about story objects for the Crimson Codex adventures, as well as reporting the problems that others have had trying to input them for their home games. So let's look as this is a great first step in getting the xp and gp system working, and then they can look at the story object problem. Shawn (who is getting fitted tomorrow for another pair of rose-colored glasses) |
| MysticRhythms09-12-06, 09:33 AM | Understood. Thanks for the reply, Shawn. Another dtabse-related question though (and I know this is not your responsibility by any means). I've got my Origins events reported but I only received four player points for each module. Aren't we supposed to receive double points for Origins events? Is this in the works? |
| pedr09-12-06, 10:48 AM | Apparently, though this wasn't ever changed in any public document, the x2 multiplier applies to shows which the RPGA themselves are responsible for. This used to be GenCon, Origins and Winter Fantasy, plus GenCon SoCal, I think. As the RPGA didn't run the RPGA events at Origins, the 2x multiplier didn't apply. Or so I read here a while ago! Clearly one could raise a certain level of stink about this, as the RPGA was continuing to advertise that events at Origins would get you double points - but to be honest it wouldn't do anyone any good. |
