Hey.

What are the chances that we'll be able to use expansion slots for prestige classes with story element requirements?

I'm going to build a ranger who would eventually lead into an "Eldeen Ranger" of the Gatekeeper sect. However... if we're in Xen'Drik the whole time I don't think he'll be commuting to the Reaches for some quality time with the fellow sect members.

What's the expected ruling on this?

Thanks!

Similarly I'm thinking of taking the Contemplative PRC which has a story requirement (Must have had direct contact with one's patron deity or a direct servant of that diety, or with an enlightened being embodying the highest principles of an alignment).

You will probably have to have a Story Object stating that you met the requirement. I'm also planning on taking contemplative with my cleric and my thought is to use Lesser Planar Ally and that should meet the requirement. :)

Yeah, but I plan to take a Druid. Would an Elder Elemental qualify?

Xendrik may be different, but I know if Living Greyhawk you specifically cannot qualify for prestige classes like comptemplative via contact with summoned creatures.

Well i think you can get a DMs mark to get those requirements, but for that im not sure.

The Factionmasters are all working to ensure that story objects exist when appropriate to allow for this requirement. In addition, we will be empowering DMs through the Mark system to allow gaming groups to tailor their games to allow PCs to get the special conditions they need to take the prestige classes they wish.

Suffice to say, if it's legal in every other sense, a special condition will not be a barrier to selecting a desired class.

Can I make a request for the special requirement for Drunken Master (survive a night with a bunch of master etc.) be added as a story object? My warforged scout likes their style. :)

Okay, so you're probably not taking requests... I think having the DM's Marks be able to fulfill these story type requirement is a GREAT idea...

Thanks for a great campaign by the way, been having fun so far!
