Kordak 01-24-07, 04:58 PM	Hello, Today I noticed that an incorrect story object had been removed on my character tracker - Thanks Guys! :D - however, this brought up a question. The incorrect story object was a Blackwheel company object that permanently reduces your EV by 100 gp. I assumed that, once it was removed, I would see a corresponding increase in the EV number on the character tracker. That didn't happen. The EV is the same as it was before (8400 gp.) This suggests to me that the character tracker doesn't take into account those story objects when calculating EV for a character. My question is this: How do I calculate the correct EV for my Blackwheel character? Is it the number on the Character tracker + 50gp/level + story object rewards + starting gp? 8400 + 50*4 + 300 (Dragoon Rank and Bronze Kraken) + 200 (starting gp for rogue) = 9100gp EV? Or is there some mistake in the tracker that still needs to be rectified and my EV is 8400 + 100 gp (removing penalty from the incorrect story object) = 8500gp EV? Marcus Majarra 01-24-07, 06:31 PM	You got it right on the first attempt. The EV merely indicates how much party treasure you got throughout your adventures. Any other factors need to be resolved by you: • Bonuses from skill ranks • Blackwheel Company bonus • Story object bonuses/penalties • Starting gold

pedr 01-25-07, 07:14 AM	I would have thought so too. This experience is evidence, though not conclusive evidence, given the database issues, that that's not true: story objects, even though the system knows about them, do not affect the tracker EV and therefore have to be added 'manually'. It'd be good if a factionmaster could do some exploring/investigating and get back to us!
Kordak 01-25-07, 11:48 AM	Here's what the Campaign standards say (Step 8 - pg 7): Add this value [character starting gold] to your Equipment Value (EV), and you have your character’s wealth. Your Equipment Value (EV) includes the gold earned during play and any gold awarded from other sources such as story objects or the bonus for Blackwheel PCs. So I would have thought that the 100 gp would have been added back in once the story object was removed. smerwin29 01-25-07, 12:12 PM	Until you hear otherwise, assume that story object and other factors that affect EV ARE NOT tracked in the EV you see in your character tracker. I am almost certain this is the case, but I will double check. Shawn
