| taylorj04-10-07, 05:30 PM | If you've run a DM Mark with a given packet, are you then able to play the DM Mark created by a different DM off the same packet? I was told that you could do this, but it seems fishy and I haven't been able to find confirmation anywhere. |
| pedr04-10-07, 05:43 PM | The theory is that you can. Early in the life of the (MoH) DM's Marks, the system didn't let you get credit for playing one after running it. I've heard rumours this has been straightened out but I've not tried it so can't confirm that. It's not against the RPGA rules - the DM's Mark packets make clear that it is permitted, I believe. |
| quizboy04-17-07, 11:44 AM | I haven't tried this in a while, but there was a way to get this to work when I was running some Mark of Heroes DM's Marks. It was a little tricky. First, check out the DM Mark for two tables. Then run 2 different DM Marks with you judging one, and playing in another. Then report them both at the same time. I was able to get credit for running and playing in the same DM's mark this way (as late as last summer). The XE database may have been updated so that play isn't required at the same event, but I haven't tried it. --Steven |
| Peter_Seckler04-18-07, 07:21 AM | Can some Smart Feller (or transpose the first letters there..) faction master come in and give us the definitive lowdown? |
| pedr04-18-07, 07:48 AM | Well, we could use you as a test! Someone could set up a Cabal DM's Mark and see if you can get credit for playing it! |

We don't know the answer any better than all y'all. Here's the history of the issue as I know it. With Mark of Heroes you were supposed to be able to do it. But people had problems. But I have also heard of some people who didn't have problems. I can try to get HQ to check with the database folk(s), but the best bet is going to be simply to try it and see what happens. Let me know the results, which I can then take to HQ as proof positive (or negative) of where it stands. Shawn |

I will be glad to serve as a guinea pig for this! If someone will set up a DM'sMark 4, (which I have already run) I will be glad to report back whether or not I get credit for playing it. I don't even mind if I don't get credit for playin' it neither. :) |
| Harliquinn04-18-07, 11:24 AM | The only potential issue is that I have heard if a player at a table is invalid, it invalidates the entire table. Is that still true? |
| Skerrit04-18-07, 11:48 AM | I am told that the issuse is fixed. The DM's Marks are under the same catagory as LG interactives and LG intro mods. You can play and judge that catagory as much as you like. |

You can play and judge that catagory as much as you like. That just applies to running a DM's mark and playing in it afterwards, right? Not multiple play in the same DM's mark? |
| Hellcast04-18-07, 02:24 PM | Yes, if not you could get infinite XP and GP by playing marks. |
| Skerrit04-19-07, 09:41 AM | Correct. You can play it once, run the same one as many times as you have tables. |
| Diablo0504-20-07, 10:49 AM | In my group, our plan is to have each player pick a faction and eat the DM Mark for that faction. Could we then each run a second DM Mark for a different faction, allowing the original DM to get credit for the mark? In other words, if I run the Blackwheel Mark, could one of my players run their own mark from the same packet and give me credit for it? Note, all other players at the table will have already played that packet, so, won't be getting credit for the second. |
| Harliquinn04-20-07, 10:51 AM | Be careful having people play the same adventure twice. I believe that if a person at the table is an invalid player (or if you have enough invalid players to bring the table down to less than 4) no one gets credit. |
| Skerrit04-23-07, 02:11 PM | If your players already played that DM's Mark number, they can't play it again, so your table would be invalid. |
