Summary of 1st part of XE [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-12-07, 08:47 AM Is there any chance we can download previous modules (all the fraction modules and the 2 expedition modules) after the level bump?

Or if not, whether we can have a relatively detailed summary of each fraction's adventures and the expedition adventures?

Try as I might, I can only participate actively in 2 fractions. :weep: I would like to see at the very least, a detailed summary of wat happened in the other 2 fractions. I'm sure a lot of people who missed the modules, would really want to get a part of the story.

I've been impressed by the 2 storylines for Crimson and Covenant of Light (XE storyline imo > many Greyhawk modules), and have heard good things about the other 2 fractions, many other people probably would only have had the chance to play only 1 module even though they might have enjoyed playing all 4 fractions, yet due to the level bump, they are unable to. It would seem a pity that all the hard work by the fraction masters go unappreciated. :D

01-12-07, 12:04 PM I think this is a great idea, especially for people who are coming in after a level bump, to have a synopsis of the plot up to a certain point to be able to read for each faction.

I came into Mark of Heroes very late, and the mods made little sense to me, since I had no idea what the storyline was up to that point.

My home group has kind of realized that we probably can't keep playing all four factions and get them all reported in time, so we will have to drop one or two of them, and only play those characters at cons. So for instance, if we have to stop playing Covenant of Light due to time constraints, I'd still like to play my aasimar paladin at gencon. If the level bump is up to 7 or 8 by then, I'd like to be able to read what's happened so that I can roleplay a little better!

01-21-07, 08:36 PM A summary report of what players would know would definately be good, but I don't think it should be achieved by allowing people to download the expired modules as this would reveal some secrets that are written into the modules that the players do not know as players.

Examples would be names and identities of people that players have intereacted with or seen but do not know their alleigences of...

01-22-07, 04:49 PM I've DM'ed all the covenant of light modules, if the others are anything like CoLthen there is a generic synopsis at the begining of every module that would be fine to show.

It gives all the events that are expected to be performed and doesn't give away any secrets (assuming of course the players did everything). If you're interested in these why not just PM a faction master?
