The Fastplay Knight at Gen Con, a question. [Archive] - Wizards Community

Being of the Blackwheel Company, I didn't see many knights; in fact all I saw was the fastplay being run in the Delve. The player frequently used the Knight's Challenge ability, and some ability he called "Goad", which forced a DC 15 (I assume based on lvl and cha mod) or a creature, of Int 5+ I believe, was forced to choose the Knight as the target for it's attacks in that round.
Before the Con I had just glanced at the class, and after explaining the Knight's performance to a friend who had read it a bit more closely he pointed out that the Knight shouldn't have had the "Goad" ability until fourth level or so, unless it was a different ability.
My question is the obvious one: Any idea where this "Goad" came from? Did the fastplay include an ability the character shouldn't have had yet, or was it from some feat I couldn't find?
I'm not trying to point out a flaw with the fastplay, rather I'm trying to find out what this was for my friend who is looking to make a Knight in a home game.

P.S. I couldn't find an online copy of the fastplay's to reference, if you could note how to find them that might answer the question.

Oh, and I think I remember Kiddoc at Gen Con saying he had made the fastplay, so any input from you would certainly help.

Goad is a feat out of Complete Adventurer.

Right. I do hope you enjoy it.

I had some fun playtesting with the Knight class waaaaaaaaay back in March. Some of my playtesters taught me some very neat things you could do with that class. It seemed very in character for a Knight to challenge an enemy, call out to them to engage only them (goad), and take one for the team (so to speak). I personally enjoyed the Knight's Challenge, Goad, Full Defensive option where you can act as a bulwark for the rest of the party. Being a living shield seems very Knightly to me. :D
