| Evil_ernie_SSK12-04-06, 10:33 AM | So either I'm an idiot or the webpage messed up, I was entering the information needed for the Well of Woe day I had recently run, I clicked validate all results and it submitted my session , I was fairly sure that clicking Validate in the previous mods I ran simply checked the RPGA numbers and showed the player names and character names... Anyhow it submitted my session before I answered the scenario questions and entered the story reward codes from the modules. Is there a way I could renter them? It is fairly crutial that I do so, especialyl since I didn't choose the correct characters for most of the players. Thanks for your help. Larry Vickers |
| Harliquinn12-04-06, 10:39 AM | sounds like the website messed up if you followed this order: 1) Click Scenario Link 2) Enter RPGA numbers for Judge and Players (There isn't any place to do questions or cert codes yet) 3) Click Submit Session -> This brings up the screen with a button for Questions, fills in the characters and loads up the spot for Certs. If you already had that screen up and hit "Validate" then it would have indeed submitted the results (whatever state they were in). If you want to save your place I believe you need to hit "Submit Session". Harliquinn |

Whether or not anything can be done isn't clear - if it can't, don't expect a reply as the RPGA seems not to be staffed well enough to reply to emails they can't deal with. You could also get your players to file an appeal: have them log into the RPGA member area, click 'Update your membership' then somewhere in there will be a link to a form to report the problem. |
| Evil_ernie_SSK12-08-06, 01:57 PM | Still waiting unfortuneatly. Has anyone else had this problem or had to change something entered? I'm hoping for an inkling of hope. |
| pedr12-08-06, 04:37 PM | From memory, I believe the 'Validate All Results' button is the very very last button you should press after you've entered everything else. I suppose it ought to give you an error message if you've not entered all the data, but I imagine that if the system has a DM's RPGA number and at least four player RPGA numbers for each session then it's not going to complain too much - even if you've not altered the default settings for anything else - note that the character drop-down boxes and adventure question radial buttons are pre-filled with a default value so it's probably possible to submit the default without ever viewing those screens. Is it possible that's what happened? If I were you I'd throw this to your players: get them to contact the RPGA via the RPGA members' area and I believe that HQ will get in touch with you. Possibly not before the holidays though! |
| Evil_ernie_SSK12-08-06, 06:37 PM | That's worth a try, As to the validate button the big problem was that since it was the well of woe it didn't give me the option to choose what factoin their characters were from, after their RPGA numbers were entered and I hit the validate button is skipped to the thank you screen. Thanks again Pedr. I'd vote for you :-P |
| Evil_ernie_SSK12-13-06, 06:26 PM | I'm sure no one was losing sleep over this but I'd like to annouce that the problem has been fixed, or at least the fixing is in the works. The RPGA has gotten back to be and requested the event code so that they can reopen the information adding process. Thanks to Everyone who helped, especially Pedr. |
