Just wondering when the second level bump will be? At Origins or Gencon?

Generally the cycle has been GenCon Indy and DDXP/Winter Fantasy. As far as I know, there are no plans to change that, although one never knows.

What is a Level Bump?

In February, every PC in the campaign will be 'bumped' up to at least 4th level. In August, this will bump to probably 7th. It keeps all the characters in the campaign at roughly the same level and allows the authors to write tightly-focused modules all of which drive the story forward - a great strength of this campaign model, in my opinion!

Will characters gain extra money to match their level?

Anyway... wich modules are pre-bump? Faction 1 and 2, DM's Mark 1 and 2 and Well of Woe (closing the frist 'arc' or something like that)?

Allow me to say that I completely agree with you ;)

I just hope I have enought time to play Well of Woe...

Everything that's out at the moment is pre-bump. The #4 faction mods and the #3 Expeditions mod will be the first ones written for level 4 characters.

You do, indeed, get extra money to match the level. The amount will be announced just before D&D eXPerience.

Well of Woe retires on 17th January. If you still need to order it, see this thread: http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=11124295&postcount=19

Hun... then I'll probably lost a few adventures ... sad thing.

I guess my DM already read that one... I spoted him posting here somewhere...

Currently available until 17th January are the #3 faction modules, #3 DM's Marks and #2 Expeditions module. If you can find someone to run them for you, or an online game anywhere (not of the Expeditions mod, unfortunately)

Well of Woe Expeditions #1 is available until the 17th also.

It should be posted during the level kick when no mods are playable (right before DDXP).

What does all this mean for anyone hoping to play at Arcanacon 2007 (http://www.arcanacon.org) (Melbourne Australia, Jan 25-28)?

Will I need to bring 1st or 4th level Xendrik Expeditions characters for that event?

Will any Xendrik Expeditions mods even be playable at that event?

There will be no XE modules available between Jan 17 and the start of D&D eXPerience (early Feb??). Yes, this is very annoying, but it's pretty unavoidable given the nature of the online tracking system.

If this is true, then it is more than annoying, its unforgivable!

I had heard that Mark of Heroes was wrapping up soon, and I'm not experienced at high level play anyway, so I was excited to hear about Xendrik Expeditions.

I downloaded, printed and read the Xendrik Expditions Campaign Standard. The different factions and the races/classes they unlock sounded interesting. So I've spent the last couple of weeks researching my books, familiarising myself with classes I hadn't played before, and considering different character builds for the Con. With only two weekends before Arcanacon, I spent all of today creating my first character (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=11176596&postcount=10), with intentions to create a character for each faction, only to discover now that Xendrik probably won't be available anyway? If I'd have known that, I would have used the time to prepare characters for other settings. I wonder how many other players will arrive at the Con unable to play Xendrik, and ill-prepared for other campaign play?

I don't have a regular group, and there are only a couple of large 4-day Con events in Melbourne each year, so this is one of the few opportunities I get to enjoy any gaming sessions at all.

According to their website (http://www.arcanacon.org), Arcanacon has been running for 25 years, attracting more than 450 participants each year. RPGA really needs to think about campaign support for premier Cons that inadvertently fall into these "gap" periods.
