That's correct but when you try to order them they do not appear as a choice.

I tried to order them as part of a convention event for dates 7/28/06 - 7/30/06 and as a gameday event dates 7/29/06 - 7/30/06. Neither had them for me to select.

Is there any explanation anywhere as to why these modules largely expire in a month or two? I was hoping that was one thing that was going to change with the new campaign. The almost non-existant playing windows kept anyone in my general circle from playing the last campaign, and I really doubt we were the only ones.

I thought I might try this campaign out as I am fairly caught up in Living Greyhawk, but since they are doing the Mark of Heroes thing again with the modules being available for a month only it makes it kind of hard to ever get to play them.

not sure what you mean that they largely expire in a month? the first 4 faction mods that come out at origins are available for a convention from this coming thurdsay to the end of the year. so all those are available till the end of the year so they are much longer in the retirement then the other campaigns right there.

now the mods coming out at gencon have a little shorter window b/c those mods are going to be at all gencon indy and the extended premiere cons but you still have 2 months of home day to play them which should be plenty of time. well of woe has a shorter one b/c it is a special mod. but the window is larger than the rest.

as to why you can't get them yet my only guess is that the reason is that teh mods aren't in the database yet. thats only a guess and ill see if can get an answer to it.

I am thinking of ordering and running the adventures. Do I have to form a club in my area to be considered a game day? I am up against some tough competition with LG & LA. I am asking this because I have the approval of a gaming store to hold the event there. I just want to make sure that it will be considered a game day and not a home game.

Thanks,
Homer

The only difference I know of between the two is that a home game is held at a private venue and is not open to the public. A game day is held in a public place and is open to the public. A RETAIL game day is one held specifically at a store.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I remember when Living City was ending and Living Greyhawk began. The group I played the adventures with at the local game store had to come up with a name and write up a charter or they could not order adventures. They still call the day play Living Greyhawk adventures after the name of the group. I really did not want to have to do that.

Thanks,
Homer

He said a month or 2... and I think he refers to the fact that they are only available for Home games for a 2 months. The fact that they there are available for conventions is not going to help most players - at least not in Europe where Home games and to a lesser extend game days are actually the biggest player attraction and there are only 2 conventions per year per country (and even those are more like extended game days than true conventions).

Just letting everyone know that while the factions are listed in the drop down box they are not present to select any of them from the long list of RPGA modules.

Well, it looks like someone has been able to order them for 9/1/06 but I still can't for a convention on 7/28/06 to 7/30/06

i was able to order a gameday for 8/2/06 so as far as i know thats working fine. one thing i did notice when i was ordering them (i'm DMing the covenant of light mods) is that they are under there names and not all bunched together like EMH was.

So look under the B's for blackwheel and so forth.

The only problem Tim, is that my players have complained to me about the "script error" messages they keep receiving when trying to register a character in one of the factions:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: '[string: ""]'

/rpgaweb/external/charedit.asp, line 301

I guess one the "gnomes who tinker" should check it out, just in case...

ya there still working on that. there is some transitioning going on so it'll be a while for some questions to be answered and so forth.

For right now use the campaign standards taht have been put up.
