For example: Auto Silence/Still applies to all of a caster's spells up to his/her highest spell level -3. Auto Quicken applies to all of a caster's spells up to his/her highest spell level -6. One note before I ask for opinions: I've replaced epic spells as per the ELH with continued spell progressions for each class. Now, opinions please. |

So with a straight wizard, that would be at 30th level. With the current (ELH not Comp Arcane) version, you can get 9th level spells autoquickened at 30th level as well - by taking it 3 times, at the cost of 2 of those ISCs. So it is slightly more powerful your way. I thought that Automatic should be more generalized. Maybe take it X times to get all your spell levels - where X is the level adjsutment. Round up on the first times you take it as needed. So AutoStill/Silent would be taken once for all spells. AutoEmpower twice, once for 0-4, once for 5-9. AutoMaximize 3 times, 0-3, 4-6, 7-9. AutoQuicken 4 times, 0-2, 3-5, 6-7, 8-9. I also thought there should be a feat for monsters to AutoQuicken Spell-like abilities - take it after QSLA, and you get that ability your maximum times per day quickened. ROB |

But then again, characters gain a lot fewer epic feats in my rules. Don't know if that changes your 'slightly more powerful' estimation. I thought that Automatic should be more generalized. Maybe take it X times to get all your spell levels - where X is the level adjsutment. Round up on the first times you take it as needed. I'm trying to steer away from the possibility of autoing all of a character's spells. First, because it makes the original meta feats useless but also just because it feels wrong. (Yeah, yeah everything is topsy-turvy in epic play; my rules are my attempt to reduce all the epic insanity.) I also thought there should be a feat for monsters to AutoQuicken Spell-like abilities - take it after QSLA, and you get that ability your maximum times per day quickened. I don't follow this one; as far as I know, QSLA doesn't operate on a per day basis. I could imagine an AQSLA that quickens all of, or most, of a monster's SLAs. |

I guess it probably doesn't - though with effectively automatic ISC (since you give them automatic increases) it makes taking this feat once very valuable - you keep reaping the benefit level after level. I don't think auto everything is a problem - since you have to spend the feats on it. As for QSLA - yes, when you take it, you get a maximum of 3 Quickened uses per day. If you already could use it less, then it stays at the lower number. But if it was something like At Will, then you get 3 Quickened and the rest At Will. ROB |
