Does anyone have any idea how epic levels would treat the Truenamer from Tome of Magic. Would they continue to get utterances or would they use epic spellcasting? Perhaps a variant using the Truespeak skill instead of Spellcraft?

Any thoughts?

When you boil it down the Truenamer is more like the Warlock then the Wizard, so I think a collection of epic feats like in this article would be the way to go:

Truenamer sound like it might be quite viable in epic gameplay. At epic, almost everything like HD and correspondingly, saves, bab, hp, resistances, immunities etc scales out of whack. Cr seems to be the only constant.

A feat that reduces or eliminates the Law of Resistance would be quite nice... perhaps based off of 30+ ranks in Truspeak? Another thought migh be Epic feats that reduce or eliminate the penalty for auto-targeting and\or avoiding SR.

Eliminating the Law of Resistance would be like giving a spellcaster more spells per day. Cutting it in half could work, though. What about a feat that lets you memorize certain individuals truenames - although that would also eliminate the Law of Resistance. When you memorize someone's truname, their CR bonus is cut in half so it's only 35+CR. Also.... Epic truname powers? They already have a checks system independent of levels, unfortunately. Do trunamers have metamagic feats? I forget. It would be pretty simple to make higher level powers with x2, x3, x4 strength/duration, etc.

The problem with truenaming at epic levels is that you only get +1 to your checks each level, whereas the difficulty to affect something of equal CR goes up by 2. Items and feats offset that somewhat, but eventually it's not enough.

not really. Items follow exponential progression. At level 50 you have 33 million gp. A +50 item is 2.5 million. Not that much. At level 100, a +100item is 10 million gp. Not sure how much wealth you have, but I bet it's more than 132 million gp.
